MMO Sandbox

TIDE is a video-game project. We are a team of 8 people at NOG Studio and our goal was to release a trailer and playable demo in one year to be able to find potential investors.


I was an environnement artist for TIDE. I especially made props for the environment, mostly plants, but also a lot on the set-dresses for both the trailer and timelapse, showing how the civilizations evolve with the players.

 

We worked for the whole year and we met our goals.

We also had the pleasure to have the Original SoundTrack of the game made and played as a symphony concert by the Orchestre de Fourvière.

I worked the whole year of the environment and sceneries for the project : from the layout for the trailer, to the set-dressing and making of most of the vegetation of the universe.

 

Most of my ideas have been included in the final trailer when some of them have been drastically changed for some scenes. Mostly for the reason that we wanted more changes of atmosphere between the different locations.

 

I was also chosen to take the responsibility of the Timelapse of the game. Not included in the trailer, but it will be released later to show the possible evolution of a community of players : village, town, wars, etc...

 

It was a interesting work to imagine how the community would evolve and to make it into a video.
